Korean Tourist Visa Requirements

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. PASSPORT
    • Original and colored photocopy of BIO page (bearing holder’s signature)
    • Original and photocopy of valid visa/s and arrival stamps to OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) member countries for the past 5 years (if applicable)
  2. APPLICATION FORM (must be typewritten)
  3. PHOTO
    On clear white background (45mm x 35mm; must be attached to application form)

  4. ORIGINAL PERSONAL BANK CERTIFICATE
    Must be issued within 3 months and must include:  Account Name; Account Number; Account Type; Current Balance; Account Opening date;  Average Daily Balance (ADB) for 6 months
  5. BANK STATEMENT
    Recent 3 months statement; must be same account with the Bank Certificate (photocopy is acceptable); photocopy of passbook with recent 3 months transactions may be submitted instead (if applicable)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • FOR PROFESSIONAL
    Copy of PRC card (Professional Regulation Commission) or IBP card (Integrated Bar of the Philippines)
  • FOR BUSINESSMAN
    1. SEC Registration or DTI Registration (currently valid); must include pages with list of shareholders to show Applicant ’s name in the list of shareholders
    2. Mayor’s permit or Business Permit (current and valid); must match the SEC or DTI registration.
    3. Latest Income Tax Return (all pages must be submitted) SELF-EMPLOYED INDIVIDUALS may submit Certificate of Registration under the name of applicant.
  • FOR EMPLOYED INDIVIDUALS
    1. Original Certificate of Employment (issued within 3 months) and must include the following information: Applicant’s position, date hired, compensation, company name and office address, HR landline number and e-mail address (if available)
    2. Photocopy of applicant’s latest ITR (Income Tax Return)
  • FOR STUDENTS
    1. School Certificate (original) issued by the school where enrolled
    2. Copy of school ID
    3. Original PSA Birth Certificate
    4. Parents’ documents, e.g. Passport, ITR, and other financial document mentioned herein
    5. Original PSA Marriage Certificate of parents
  • INVITATION
    1. BY A COMPANY
      • Copy of Business Permit/Registration of inviter
      • Invitation letter written in English or Korean language prepared within 3 months of application, and must include the following:
        1. Inviter and invitees’ full names, birthdates and relationship
        2. Invitees’ purpose of travel and period of stay
        3. Inviter’s contact number, occupation, company name (date written and signature of the inviter is a must)
    2. PERSONAL
      • Invitation letter written in English or Korean language prepared within 3 months of application, and must include the following:
        1. Inviter and invitees’ full names, birthdates and relationship
        2. Invitees’ purpose of travel and period of stay
        3. Inviter’s contact number, occupation, company name (date written and signature of the inviter is a must)
      • Copy of passport or Identification Card of inviter
  • FOR RELIGIOUS WORKERS
    1. Certification from Church (original)
    2. Copy of Church SEC in the Philippines (first page only)
  • FOR FOREIGN RESIDENTS IN THE PHILIPPINES
    Applicable on all types of Visa

    1. Photocopy of ACRI-Card, Philippine long-term visa, and arrival stamps to Philippines. For foreign nationals with Philippine long-term residence visa (marriage visa, working visa, student visa, retiree’s visa, permanent resident visa and others) and have continuously stayed in the Philippines for more than 2 years will be allowed to apply: China, Thailand, India, Indonesia, Mongolia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Yemen, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, Sudan, Cameroon, Somalia, Gambia, Senegal, Cuba, Peru, Ukraine, Kosovo, Macedonia. With the following exemptions:
      • Visa Issuance Number Holders
      • If a foreign resident is invited by Korean government (including spouse and minor children)
      • If a foreign resident has a long-term PH visa working as a diplomat or as a member of international organization (including spouse and minor children with same long-term visa, applying together with the main member)
      • If a foreign resident is a spouse of Filipino and has a long-term PH visa or long-term status (including minor children)
      • For other humanitarian reasons.
  • FOR OFW
    OFWs may apply for Visa at the Korean embassy of their country of residence.
    If they wish to apply at the Embassy in the Philippines, the following are required:

    1. OFW must be present in the Philippines during visa processing period.
    2. OFW must submit Bank documents issued from a Philippine bank.
    3. Copy of overseas visa and/or re-entry permit must be submitted for working visa holders.
    4. Copy of seaman’s book must be submitted for seafarers.

NOTE: Requirements in items 4 and 5 also applies to family members of OFW living in the Philippines who are financially supported by the OFW.

  • FOR RETIREES
    1. Copy of Senior Citizen’s ID
    2. If early retired, submit Retirement Certificate or letter of explanation
    3. For financial documents of a supporting family member, the following are required as proof of relationship: Copy of Marriage Contract for spouse, Birth Certificate for child, etc.
